This is one of the unique trees in Kenya, Africa.  It rises to great heights, with seemingly a small trunk.  It is a bold projection into the sky without any hindrance.  It usually stands alone, but captures the attention of all who pass by.

The apostle Paul wraps up the conclusion of his life at the end of the Book of Acts with similar analogy:  Proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the LORD Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance.  Acts 28.31.

The recent ministry of Intersect in Kenya, reflects Paul’s sentiment.  It was an absolute joy and privilege to do Jesus ministry and Lifeworkx with Steve Aldrich, my long time mentor and founder of Lifeworkx!  God opened the door for so much ministry and the opportunity to talk about Jesus in so many ways.  

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

590 Pastors and Leaders attended 3 Lifeworkx events in 2 different cities.  They were serious about growing in their calling and wanting to become better equipped for their unique roles in ministry.   They arrived on site at 7am  to pray — started to worship at 8am — and were still worshiping @ 9am when it was time for the teaching to begin - every day.  They came to worship and get their hearts right before the LORD, and then they were ready to discover what the LORD had for them.  And after 3 full days at each event, they were able to complete and experience life transformation.

The Discovery process happens in the break out groups when they began to share their Story and learned how to Reframe the negative experiences.  It is there they  found the truth and their true Identity in Christ.

It was in groups that they also learned about their Preferences of relating to people and began to identify their Strengths and move away from their weaknesses.

The next step after attending 2 Lifeworkx events, is be eligible for Trainer Certification, which upon completion gives the person permission to teach Lifeworkx.  It was a blessing to God to be able to certify 55 new Lifeworkx trainers and release them all around Kenya!

Yes, they were Pastors and leaders, but they were highly interested in learning how to start more effective spiritual conversations that open the door for people to come into God’s kingdom by faith in Jesus.  I was able to share the 2 Kingdom gospel presentation with 535 attendees.  It is when we can talk  about Jesus in a relaxed conversation that we can make kingdom impact.

Other spiritual connections included preaching - prayer ministry - healing ministry - and spiritual warfare.

Our first Lifeworkx in Nakuru was recorded and uploaded to YouTube for greater exposure for those who are interested in knowing more about Lifeworkx.

Steve and I were also privileged to do an hour of live TV on Oracle TV, a national TV syndicate that reaches over 650,000 people.  We were able to talk about the impact of Lifeworkx and other ministry related topics.  We pray God will use these connections to encourage and bless others.

Steve and I were not without opportunity to come along side pastors who were going through difficult situations.  We were able to encourage this 85 year old pastor and many others, with the wisdom - knowledge - and understanding that comes from God.

It is always a good thing to take time to celebrate God’s blessings in life.  It was Melodie’s birthday and the whole crew jumped in to make it a fun event.
