Dear Friends,

I hope this note finds you safe and well. My summer months have been filled with:

  • Writing for American Theatre

  • Imagining with Kaimera Productions

  • TimeBanking at Kōkua Exchange

Robert Farid Karimi rescued his pandemic-cancelled gig and gamified Shangri La, the residence-turned-museum in Honolulu, where heiress and philanthropist Doris Duke once resided. I had an opportunity to shadow Robert and write about his innovative residency, game recognize game / bazi recognize bazi [a series of broken games] for American Theatre. You can find the article here.

Based out of France and producing internationally, Kaimera Productions rouses joy and dialogue through kinetic and soulful live performances. I was recently invited to become one of their "Immortals," thought partners who come from a diversity of fields to engage in rigorous community conversation and provocations of the imagination.

In my continued pursuit of incorporating practices of solidarity economy into my personal and professional life, I joined a TimeBank. Learn about Kōkua Exchange here, and then search for a TimeBank in your community.

Much Aloha,

Seema Sueko
