In the beginning...

January is full of fresh starts & intentions. This year as I'm reading through the Bible, I'm paying attention to the strong female characters. Sometimes the story lines are not fully laid out, but her male counterpart's story may shed some light on her experience.

I've undertaken an ambitious goal to gradually Bible Quilt these narratives of Women of the Bible. If you're studying particular books of the Bible or just curious about how women faced challenges in biblical times, this might pique your interest. I'd love to see any #biblequiltjournal pages you might have already done along these lines!

This template can be used to illustrate examples of prayer in the Bible. When Abraham's servant was sent to find a wife for Isaac, the servant prayed at the well and "before he was finished praying" Rebekah appeared. pretty cool, huh?
