Hello friends! Like we promised the last time, we delivered our first online nutrition awareness program for schools. It was a great start to the year, with a chance to reconnect with children, although virtually. It was heartening to see that the kids loved the program, and found it both useful and fun. The program led to an increase in children's knowledge of nutrition, their attitude towards healthy eating and their behaviours towards choosing healthy. Many children displayed a dramatic reduction in junk food consumption, tried interesting healthy recipes for the first time, and also talked to their parents about eating healthy. While we are preparing an impact report, do check out Prachi's story below on how she benefitted from our program. We would also like to thank our donors who made this program possible. We have been conducting our awareness programs for children and adults from low-income households. But we are happy to announce that, for the first time, we are offering this program as an 'Open for All' Summer Camp for children. Do not miss this opportunity, and enroll your child for the Summer Camp today. Details are below. Scroll down to read more about our last quarter, including our work, achievements and more. Hope you are staying safe in this new wave of COVID. Stay healthy! And happy eating! Raadhika Gupta |

Empowering Kids through Nutrition Program Food Funda, our nutrition awareness program, reached 75 children from low-income communities. This online program empowered children with the knowledge and practices to plan healthy meals and choose wisely. There was improvement in knowledge, attitude and behaviour towards healthy eating. Stay tuned for our impact report. In the meanwhile, check out the experience of one of the program participants below. |

Live Cooking Session We conducted a live Cooking Session at Ginny's Planet, making a meal entirely from millets. The session included a drink, main course and dessert. If you missed the live telecast, don't forget to watch the videos and check out the recipes. And enjoy your own Bajre ki Raabdi, Leftover Daal-Ragi Cheela and Jowar Halwa! |

We also thank all our partners and donors who made this possible. |

Meet Prachi Food Funda course participant, 13-year old "I want to be healthy and safe. I now eat junk food only a few times a week. I like to eat sprouts everyday." "I did not like vegetables or healthy food earlier. I ate food like Kurkure, chocolates and samosa almost daily. I did not think about how these are made or about my health. But now, I want to be healthy and safe. I want to stay away from junk food because I understand how it is unhealthy for me. I now eat junk food only a few times in a week. |

If I feel like eating oily food, I ask my mom to make it for me at home instead of buying from outside. Eating leafy vegetables, fruits and lots of water have become my habits now. I learnt some healthy and tasty recipes in the course and tried them at home. I can now make sprouts and like to eat them everyday. I share it with my brother and parents, who also enjoy eating it a lot." (Prachi reduced the consumption of Kurkure and chocolates from 10 times a week to just 3 times a week over a 3-week period during the program.) |
