For God SO LOVED...

We love because HE first loved us...

Love is so multi-faceted. God provided us with all kinds of nuances for this emotion, didn't he?

Valentine's Day is typically marketed to focus on our "sweethearts," but it's also a time for us to acknowledge our relationships with one another in an expression of love & gratitude. We can text, call or send a note to our friends this season, too. This year in particular may be when loneliness strikes more deeply, so a simple gesture might be especially meaningful.

Maybe it's a good time to double-down in prayer over the men in our lives for all the pressures they face? As a BoyMom I'm especially aware of the societal challenges these guys encounter. Our young men need prayer for discernment as they navigate relationships and take more responsibility for each adult decision they make. We can #biblequilt pages on our sons, our marriages and men in our lives as a way to focus our minds in steady prayers over their hearts.

A few reflections on puzzles, building up families...and being patient with figuring out how we "fit" into the body of Christ. #digdeeper

Sometimes focusing on a single passage of scripture helps us focus more on each beloved phrase.

Displaying BQ pages

If you have a seasonal or holiday page you'd like to display, here's an easy way to do it! Slip your BQ page into a page protector. Add colorful scrapbook paper behind it as an accent frame.  Then tie ribbon through the farthest two holes on the plastic sleeve. This creates a loop that you can hang on a hook, nail, or even a doorknob. When the holiday season is over, then you can glue your page into your BQ journal.

Ready to try a new technique? A young Bible Quilter showed me how to blend watercolor pencils and I tried it for a full background on my John 3:16 page. Check out this post to see how it works! (The BQ Chat #26 link below has our discussion about it, too.)

Do you get inspired seeing pages that other Bible Quilters have done?

Me too! Here's a lovely one my friend, Becky, sent to me the other day and said I could share it with y'all. Keep them coming, friends! Post your pages in the Facebook group and/or in the BQ Community Forum...one page can spark an idea that may help someone linger on her page a little longer, enjoying that special time with the Lord.
