Farewell to Canadian Consul General Nadia Theodore |
|
|
After three years of serving as Canada’s top diplomat for the Southeastern region, Consul General of Canada Nadia Theodore will depart Atlanta to take up a new role in the private sector after two decades of public service. Ms. Theodore will join Maple Leaf Foods as senior vice president of global industry and government relations. Ms. Theodore, known for her magnetic personality, has become a prominent figure in Atlanta’s international community. As a trade negotiator and policy expert, Nadia often participated in trade panels and economic development discussions to educate those less informed on the complexities of international trade relations. The Canadian diplomat also used her platform to advance LGBTQ+ affairs, advocate for women and girls, and build solidarity and action for a more equitable future at home and abroad. A good friend to Atlanta, and an outstanding representative of Canada, we wish Ms. Theodore great success in her future endeavors.
