OFFICIAL FEATURE DOCUMENTARY UPDATE - MAY 2020 II |
A quick update! I've been blasting it on social media this week but also wanted to let some of the subscribers here know (in case you don't jump online too often) that Return To Hardwick is now available for pre-order on iTunes. What does this mean? |
Search for Return To Hardwick on your AppleTV, iPhone, iPad or desktop Mac/PC |
Well in doing a little research, it doesn't mean that much - ha! That's not totally true. Apple seems to put films on pre-order to create an early buzz. It allows people to see the film's landing page, view the trailer and "pre" purchase the film so it will automatically show up in your library on the day of release. It also gives Apple and our distributor an idea of how the film might perform once it is released on June 9th. Pre-orders also seem to help for visibility of the film. |

Return To Hardwick made it to the top of pre-orders for week of June 9th! |
Due to blasting the pre-order release over social media, many people have helped the film jump to the top of the list of June 9th releases. Awesome! Will it hold? Not sure - it might be tough to fight off Rocky Balboa. It's also possible that a special banner will be created on iTunes for the film if more pre-orders come in - wink, wink. I think you are getting the message and if you use Apple products, say on the AppleTV or iPad, search for the film and see if a pre-order is in your future :) Michael Sellers Producer/Director Return To Hardwick |

A review that popped up on iTunes. |

Another great way to support the film is to give a review or comment. Last year we had screenings across the country and met so many great people. Some were connected to the war through relatives, some were connected to the 93rd Bomb Group directly, and others were just enthusiastic about the story we were telling. |

We are looking for people that might have seen the film at one of our screenings. If you have time, let others know what you thought about the film. The hope is that it gets others interested (and maybe a younger crowd too) to watch and learn about such a momentous time in our history. Below are links to get you to the websites for reviews or comments. For IMDB you might need to create a user account. There is no fee to do this - they just want to make sure a bunch of robots aren't making random reviews. For iTunes you will need to be on a computer or device that has the iTunes application. The link will take you to a webpage that will then allow you to click and open iTunes automatically. Thank you! |

FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM GROUPS |

A quick shout-out to all the Facebook and Instagram groups that have supported the film over these last few years. Because Return To Hardwick was funded by veterans, members, and friends of the 93rd Bomb Group - the resources for letting people know about the project were limited. We are not a Hollywood studio (although we act like one :) The budget for the film went into making the film. Getting the word out has mostly been done through social media. Discovering groups online where so many people have a similar interest in World War II has helped our mission immensely. The 93rd Bomb Group Association voted to produce this film and make it a top priority. To be able to pass along updates and ultimately distribution details to people that find it interesting really makes a project like this exciting - so thank you! A short clip reel was put together with some drone footage shot at Hardwick airfield. This reel contains many shots that appear in the film. |

RETURN TO HARDWICK SYNOPSIS The 93rd Bomb Group was arguably the most decorated, most traveled and most effective bomb group of WWII. Helping to cripple Hitler's Europe from the air, they executed some of the most daring bombing raids of the war. Along with the group's rich history - sons, daughters and grandchildren travel to England and explore the 93rd's long forgotten airbase - Hardwick. |
