Award-Winning Pet Care in & around Yorktown, Virginia |
|
|
Dear Friends, Happy fall, y'all! I recently had the privilege of attending Pet Sitter World (PSW24) in Niagara Falls, and it was a fantastic experience. Being surrounded by passionate professionals, all united by a commitment to caring for pets, was truly inspiring. After over 12 years in business, learning new ways to improve our pet care services for clients and staff was refreshing. The shared dedication to animal care resonated with me, and I’m excited to bring back fresh ideas to better serve our community. Check out the blog below for more details on the event. Warmest wags, Caméa Allen, Founder |

National Walk Your Dog Week National Walk Your Dog Week, observed annually from October 1-7, was established in 2010 by Colleen Paige, a pet lifestyle expert and animal advocate. The event was created to raise awareness about canine obesity and promote the importance of regular exercise for dogs' overall health and well-being. Initially planned as a one-day observance, Paige expanded it to a full week to give pet owners more time to establish walking routines with their dogs. Let us know if we can help you get your dog(s) on a dog-walking routine. We are currently accepting new dog walking clients! |

Harvest-filled KONG Toys for Cats & Dogs The makers of the longtime favorite dog toy, KONG, recently released a cat KONG and we're fans! Licking is a biologically appropriate behavior for both cats and dogs, therefore, it benefits them both. From stimulating digestion to relieving anxiety and preventing boredom, KONG toys are a great way for pets to pass the time. Consider a seasonal filling from this list and, remember, you can either blend multiple ingredients together before filling or you can layer the fillings to keep your pet(s) guessing what comes next. Canned unsweetened pumpkin Low-fat Unsweetened/Unflavored Greek Yogurt Sprouted almond butter (best for dogs) Churus or similar lickable treats Species-specific canned food
If you're feeling frisky, add a small handlful of kibble or training treats to the mix to make the KONG crunchy too! Always consult your veterinarian before introducing human foods. While we are huge fans of fresh foods for pets, not all pets will take to new flavors and ingredients as easily. |
