With all the chaos that has developed in Haiti the past couple of months, it's easy to become overwhelmed, confused and frustrated with the situation at hand and what to do moving forward. It is easy to forget all of the wonderful accomplishments we have had this year. We want to remind ourselves that God is still at work through our organization, despite the insecurities in Haiti.
We could go on for days about all of our victories, big and small, but here are a few that stand out...We officially opened our poultry farm and sold our first chickens. We continued growing our bakery, including renovating our space in order to work more efficiently. Both of our business teams have been at work boosting economic development and serving the people in our community. We finished out our first "normal" school year since the start of the pandemic. With that came a successful graduating class and a student receiving the top score in the department on the State Exams. We hosted our first Summer English Program since 2019, using virtual learning from native English speakers and hiring previous graduates and local teachers in the community. We continued to operate our dental clinic, seeing patients whenever possible. And throughout it all, our Priest, Father Simon, continued to serve the Parish with its many needs.
We couldn't have done this without the help of people like you. We have been able to accomplish so many great things this year and in years past, because of all the support we get from our community back in the United States. So, thank you! Thank you for your donations, prayers, support, and desire to help us "create the future leaders of Haiti" and show the light of God during difficult times.
