It’s hard to believe that we are, dare I say it, almost halfway through summer. The days seem to be slipping by quickly, and I’m doing my best to soak it all in; I hope you are as well.

 

We had a slow start to the season for the yoga garden this year. Big mama Gingko yielded a bumper crop of berries last year, and they damaged the lawn. With persistence, we finally got some grass to grow, and that magical space under the trees is once again ready to welcome guests.

 

Meghan will offer a fun Yoga Groove class in the garden this Sunday, July 31st, at 9:30 am and again on August 7th.  Meghan loves to dance and is looking forward to shaking things up! The class is suitable for students of all levels as we always encourage everyone to follow their body’s lead. For some odd reason, whenever I think of this class, I hear “Shake your bon-bon, shake your bon-bon” in my head!

 

We will mark the Aquarius Full Moon on August 11th at 7:30 pm in the yoga garden. The theme of the Moon in Aquarius and Sun in Leo combination is one of celebrating our successes. This moon is symbolized by the Goddess Rhiannon and the herb Dandelion. Rhiannon reminds us to go after our dreams, find our voice and release the fear of failure. Let go of attachment to the end result and let spirit weave its way to show you the path.

 

This summer is the first in several years that I am not nose to the grindstone writing essays for school, so I have plenty of availability for private one-on-one yoga, hypnosis, past life regression and reconnective healing sessions. Each of these offerings is unique, yet the feedback and client successes all come down to people feeling better, less stressed, having a greater understanding of self and less anxiety. I love my work and feel truly blessed each time a session guides a client to a new realization and an opening of self-love and acceptance. This soul experience in a human form is not always easy; working with someone who sees your soul and can help you to find balance in that subtle relationship between body and spirit can be life-changing.

Full Moon Gong in the Yoga Garden

Amplify the energy of the Full Moon in Aquarius with this celestial sound healing. Twinkling fairy lights and the canopy of the Magnolia and Gingko trees make our Yoga Garden the perfect place to commune with the full moon. With the Sun in Leo and Moon in Aquarius, we are called to celebrate our successes. We will reflect on the good we have created thus far in the year and be at peace with where we have landed.

Join Meghan for this fun summer "Pop-up" class inspired by her love of dance, this upbeat yoga flow class will take place in the Magnolia Wellness yoga garden. It will pair groovy tunes with movement that will stretch, strengthen, challenge and energize the mind and body.

Believing is seeing. The mind has patterns which create thoughts and form our beliefs. Beliefs are deeply ingrained within us, and our mind acts on those beliefs to create our life. It is no accident that many of the experiences we have in life affirm what we believe about ourselves. We attract people and situations who will affirm who we think we’re at our core.

Shifting our mindset is beneficial, but it can be challenging as what we hold as far as core beliefs are deep within us; they form who we are. The core is at the centre; what we hold in our centre radiates outward like concentric rings. We unconsciously choose people and situations who will make sure our core remains true.

We don’t know who we would be if what is our core, the centre of our being, was proven not to be true. It takes so much courage to plunge into the possibility that most of what we believe to be true about ourselves is not.
