We hope you are well!
Thank you to our directory members who filled out our questionnaire! Congratulations to Sherine Chalhie who won an M&S voucher!
We just thought to share a lovely quote we received from award winning composer/lyricist/writer Omar Baroud who recently used our database to help cast his musical:
"There is so much beauty in exploring the MENA Arts UK database. After winning the Stiles and Drewe Award for my musical 'After Elijah', I found myself in a lucky position to be able to explore it with a cast. The story i'm writing is disguised as personal family drama but at its core its a protest piece to squash stereotypes the outside world has of the MENA community. There was no better place than the database to see how much talent we have to offer. I am so happy this bright place on the web exists, squashing any doubts and proudly roaring We Are Right Here!'

Our position on endorsement.
Our main areas of work is to help connect the creative industries with UK MENA+ talent, so we will always share castings, job opportunities, or marketing information. We will track these projects in the hope that they are a great example of how MENA+ talent is used. But by sharing this information, it should not be seen as an endorsement of the project.
We will call out work that is appropriating a MENA+ narrative and does not have MENA+ talent at the heart of the creative process; and we will always champion, front and centre, work that is made for and by MENA+ talent.
