You are invited to the opening of 'Coast'

Please join us for drinks at the opening by Brian Rope OAM on Mon 28 Oct 6pm.

Coast is the first joint exhibition by two brothers, Roger and Ian Skinner, who between them have been making photographic images for over 100 years. Stepping out of their separate landlocked regions, working remotely from one another, on a theme, that is physically distant from their homes, they present Coast – their response to these locations. Roger’s photos are from Flinders Island, Tasmania and Ian’s are from Guerrilla Bay, New South Wales.

Halloween night will be so good it's scary

Dress up and come on down to enjoy this spooky-good live music line-up. The Hive will be transformed and trick or treaters are welcome! Alex The Pizza Guy will be offering authentic wood-fired pizza's for $15 and Aki from QueenSheBar and the team from Funky Brewstar team will be making tasty drinks for all ages.

The night will also include performances from Hive co-owner Simon Ferguson and Melbourne art-rock singer songwriter Pete Lyrebird, who is on an East coast tour in support of his Pair Of Rogues EP as well as guest performances from talented young artists from the Queanbeyan youth drop in centre Thursday afternoon jam group.

Tickets: full-price tickets are $15 + GST or $20 at the gate.

Under-18s will just be a gold coin donation for entry.

Join Jo Cresswell for meditation sessions in the Hive

This group will be run fortnightly with the dates below. We’ll start with a 30 minute meditation followed by a shared pot of tea. It doesn’t matter if you are already a meditator or not. Jo will offer a simple meditation practice that you can follow or you can do your own practice. Please bring a cushion to sit on or use our chairs.

A donation of $10 each toward the Hive and a cuppa would be appreciated.
