Hello fellow UWG 2024 attendees!
On behalf of Natalie and Michele and the whole UWG team, welcome! We're so glad you'll be joining us!
I'm Emily Landmann, Volunteer and Registration Coordinator this year. 2024 will be my family's sixth year attending UWG. We've had great times and made great friends along the way.
There is so much fun ahead, the schedule is brimming with all sorts of events -- we need your help to make it all happen! Volunteers are the heart of this event! From helping with conference check-in, running carnival-style games on Family Fun night, dealing some 5-card draw at Casino night, taking part in making the Nerf wars a great time for all, night-owl clean-up crews -- there is something/s for everyone. Whether this is your first year or you've been coming for years, please take a look at the form and consider how you can help. No experience is necessary -- we'll show you what you need to know. An added bonus of volunteering is that it's a great way to meet people! Volunteers can be any age, but those younger than 13 should have an accompanying parent or guardian.
This year we're using Signup.com to manage volunteer sign-up. Volunteering needs are indicated on the form. There are needs every day.
When you sign up, you can choose between receiving email or text reminders for each day that you have volunteered. For text reminders, be sure to include your area code!
For a variety of reasons, sometimes we need a little extra help that we didn't expect (illness, etc.). If you are interested in being on my “willing to be asked about helping when there’s a need” list, please indicate that on the form as well. There's a spot to sign up for that each day. Or, you can simply let me know directly.
