Hello friends, Happy New Year! We know there are a lot of choices when it comes to where you shop, so thank you for choosing to support our local small business during the holidays. Our staff is taking a collective deep breath, reflecting on an amazing holiday season and brainstorming plans for new workshops, community outreach programs and much more. This month, we launch our new kids-only workshop series Kids Grow Happily taught by education outreach coordinator Amy Dumler. At the start of every year, there is always discussion about making a new year's resolution and then the pressure to achieve it. Instead of a big, life-changing goal, why not start with something small and specific like a houseplant resolution. Not sure where to start? Check out our list below for inspiration. Baylie, a passionate member of our Happy Day Plants team, is completing her first employment placement through St. Vrain Valley School District's School to Work Alliance (SWAP) program. She enjoys caring for our plants and memorizing all of the new varieties that arrive weekly. Her favorite plant is the money tree. In 2021, she graduated from Longmont High School and currently attends the SVVSD Life Skills ACE program. In her free time, she loves bowling, shopping and dining out! |

We were so excited to welcome the Mead High School's Significant Special Needs (SSN) class in December for a field trip. The students toured the shop, learned about various plants and met with our Happy Day Plants employees to learn about their roles. We were so impressed by their thoughtful questions. At the end of their visit, they each potted a Christmas Cactus to take home. If you are interested in scheduling a school visit, please send us a note.
