Genesis tells the story of a teen who is filled with self-loathing and must overcome internalized racism and a verbally abusive family to finally learn to love herself. - Let's Take a Walk with Ruby Bridges: Carlo Dawson, multi-talented "teaching artist," presents the long walk of Ruby Bridges, the first African-American child to integrate into an all-white elementary school. Carlo inspires others to use coloring and designing as their own voice for change. Carlo's books will also be available to purchase. Ages 11 and under, accompanied by an adult. Get Help: Tax Forms and Tax Preparation Assistance All YCL locations and the YCL website will provide a handout with information on locating tax forms and sites that assist with tax preparation. Some locations will also host sessions for income tax assistance from AARP or SC Thrive. |
