Long Time No Barn Talk
Sorry it has been such a long time between Barn Talks; there’s been a lot going on behind the scenes.
Talk about living what you preach! Back in December, I had an operation that came with complications. As a healer, I wanted to jump back into helping horses, but my body had other plans. I faced some setbacks, including a hairline fracture in my ankle, which put me in a moon boot. These experiences forced me to rethink my approach to healing and to value both medical and holistic treatments. It also made me consider our horses' needs more deeply—we often treat just one aspect, but healing is about the whole being.
On a brighter note, I've been expanding my knowledge about Australian Bush Flower Essences and their benefits for animals. I’ve seen their positive effects firsthand and am excited to see how these unique essences can help our wonderful animals.
With my sore ankle, riding and horse work had to take a back seat. But remember, riding is just a small part of your relationship with your horse. The trust, the interaction, the nuzzles—those are the moments that truly matter.
I’ve also made the difficult decision to reduce the areas I visit due to costs. I don’t want to raise my prices, as I understand the financial struggles we all face. For those in the Bass & Wellington areas, I will continue to treat your horses, but I can only accept new clients if there are multiple horses.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Let’s keep focusing on holistic well-being for our beloved animals.
So stay safe and love your horse
