Community Thanksgiving

1 Chronicles 16:34

The annual Community Thanksgiving Service was held Monday, November 20th at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. This annual tradition is hosted by a different church in the community each year and has become a cherished tradition. Pleasant Ridge provided a wonderful service with a delicious fellowship supper afterwards. If you weren't able to make the service this year be sure to join us next year!

We are so grateful for a community of faith and the people in our churches who spread God's love throughout our community.

Sparkling Lights and Heartwarming Traditions

Thanksgiving is not just a day for indulging in a feast of turkey and pumpkin pie; it's a moment to reflect on the abundance of blessings that surround us. Our town has a rich tapestry of individuals, each thread contributing to the vibrant fabric of our community. This Thanksgiving, let's take a moment to express gratitude for our neighbors, friends, and the collective spirit that makes our town a special place.

Then when December arrives, our town transforms into a winter wonderland straight out of a storybook. Twinkling lights adorn every corner, and the air buzzes with excitement as preparations for Christmas take shape. Our streets come alive with festive decorations, from elaborate displays to simple yet heartfelt adornments.

But beyond the decorations and the gifts lies the true magic: the traditions that have been passed down through generations. From driving around to see Christmas lights or singing carols to the annual Christmas parade, these traditions bind us together and remind us of the importance of connection.

The holidays provide a precious opportunity for us to come together, reinforcing the bonds that make our small town a close community. Whether it's through a shared meal at a local restaurant, attending a community holiday event, or simply exchanging warm greetings with neighbors, let’s embrace the magic of these moments that make our small town feel like home.

Wishing you all a joyous Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas!
