1. Eco Together - an adapted approach in Birmingham |
|
|
Spotlight on Witton Lodge Community Association in Erdington, Birmingham Witton Lodge is delivering Eco Together as a eco-educational programme for adults in the local community. Organised and run by volunteer, Stephanie Boyle and member of staff, Paul Tse, a new 10 session version of Eco Together has been developed. It covers the core Eco Together content and also includes related activities such as a guided tour of Witton Lodge by Rob Annable (the architect who designed it), working in the on-site community garden and measuring air pollution in the surrounding area. Contact Stephanie stephanie.boyle@zoho.com for more information. |

How might you adapt Eco Together to work in your community? We would like to hear your ideas. We are adapting our unique Four Powers approach for use in different settings, including universities, schools and corporations. To learn more, get in touch at hello@ecotogether.info. |

We love it when new groups contact us. Here is what we know about recent Eco Together happenings: > In Birmingham, 5 different groups are in progress or complete, with over 40 people taking part. > In and around Bath, 11 groups have participated with around 65 people involved. > Groups have been run in faith communities, with neighbours and with people who didn't previously know each other. > Two local Councillors attended an Eco Together group session, to explain what they were doing to tackle the climate crisis; a great use of Advocacy Power! |

Feedback from recent participants: “I thought the ‘powers’ were a powerful tool. It is an original idea and fresh way of distinguishing ways we can make a difference. This helps identify our strengths and weaknesses". "It was good meeting new people and building relationships. Sharing ideas and feeling that you’re not alone for wishing to make changes". |
