This workshop on November 13th from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm will be on making your own broad-purpose herbal first aid remedy.  Learn to make a versatile herbal-based formulation that will help heal cuts, bruises, sprains, and skin irritations.  We will discuss the individual plants and their benefits and properties; sourcing and preparing plant material; and making the topical salve.  Most of the plants will be sourced from Our Global Family Farm.   Seminar attendees will receive their own sample salve to take home. The cost is only $20.

Enter the farm by driving on Calle Joaquin Road past the car dealerships and hotels onto the dirt road. Park in front of the fenced-in area and walk to the back to Our Global Family Farm.

Grateful for the volunteers who come on Sundays, now including College Corps from Cal Poly

So very grateful for the help given and received on Sundays at Our Global Family Farm. The video clip above shows some of our volunteers and a couple of the Cal Poly students "learning by doing" by harvesting, fertilizing, digging weeds, making herbal bouquets. So grateful to be able to give away the abundance to the free meal at Meadow Park and some for ourselves too. Grateful for the rains coming this week. Thank you plants! Thank you soil! Thank you people! There is nothing we cannot do with people power!

Grateful to share Our Global Family Farm with children anyway possible!

So happy when children come out to the farm or when we can bring the farm to them. Lately, we've done both. Children from Monarch Hills Outdoor School enjoy exploring Our Global Family Farm as do schools when they come on field trips to City Farm SLO. Recently I was able to bring African bottle gourds to the Paso Fairgrounds for the 4th Grade AgVentures Day as well as to the Honey & Pumpkin Festival in Paso Robles.
