Why I do What I do
In case you don't know much about me yet, allow me to introduce myself. I've been a librarian and educator for most of my life, and I received my MLIS in 2015. After my daughter was born in 2018, I transitioned into the private sector, but I still wanted to keep my skills alive in the world of children's, middle grade, and teen literature. So, with the arrival of COVID, I took my book reviewing to the next level and began a blog that has over fifty published posts to date. Through this, I've not only met wonderful authors and people from around the world, but I've also found some fantastic books I might not otherwise have seen!
This has been a learning experience for me on many levels, and I appreciate everyone who has decided to join me on this journey. It is important for me to get books in the hands of kids, whether through their parents, teachers, librarians, or mentors, and that those books are reflective of the many backgrounds and realities of the world's youth. I hope you find something that speaks to you in the pages of my blog. If you think something's missing, I invite you to reach out and let me know! There's always room to grow.
