Welcome to The Queanbeyan Hive Newsletter - Buzz #16

The Hive is finally open for bookings!

The Hive has had a much needed break after 2020 and is now hitting the ground running with exciting things happening in Queanbeyan like The National Folk Festival's 'Good Folk' event coming to our neighbourhood this Easter. As you have probably guessed, we are SUPER excited about this news!

We have decided (after much thought and feedback) to keep the whole Hive accessible for amazing events such as this and to steer away from leasing our rooms on a long term basis. This means future opportunities for gallery exhibitions, markets, music and much more.... for all to enjoy and be part of.

For this model to be financially viable we are offering 4 'Hex' spaces during core business hours for short term bookings (which can also be regular). You can share space or book a private room for a morning, lunch or afternoon time-slot or alternatively a whole day. Please check out our website for more details. Prices start at $25 for 1/2 day.

This income is a vital part of The Hive's survival so please spread the word if you know someone who could benefit meeting their clients at The Hive or just needs an alternative place to work or host a workshop.

Visit our website for bookings or call Helen on 0403 994 446 if you wish to view the space prior to booking. Exclusive all Hive bookings are also available after hours weekdays and weekends by request for workshops and parties etc.

Friday Backyard Sessions are back with Pachamama

Pachamama, a new Latin American music ensemble that will inspire you

with music both familiar & strange. Their music weaves the cultural richness
of Latin-America with vocal harmonies and exotic instruments.

Pachamama was formed when Canberra-based Cicilia Kemezys and Jorge Bontes expanded their successful duo to include Marisol Pacheco and Tony Hunter. After playing music for many years, this is the first time all four have merged to create an original display of traditional music of South America, exploring the possibilities of four-part vocal harmony and bringing many exotic multi-instrumental combinations including Flute, PanPipes, Charango, Mandolin, Bouzouki, Guitar, Cuatro, the Cuban Tres and Percussion.

Friday 19 Feb  6.00-9.00pm  $15/$20
