Health Skilled Yoga

at the Parsonage Farm School GU14 9TT

and Mytchett Community Centre, GU16 6AA

It doesn’t matter what was the reasons made you started your yoga journey. If we will further discussion on the physical benefit from regular yoga practice. The deep details on Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra 3rd limb, the Asana, is to feel strong and secure in the position you are in, to be ready, alert and confident.

Today in my teaching, one member with back injured from heavy weight lifting exercises. He admitted that he had gave it 100% to it. Unlike other exercise, yoga allowed you time to observe and enjoy the journey. When your 100% given push you to the pace and place of unawareness to “strong and secure in the position you are in, to be ready, alert and confident” of Asana meaning than you are not practicing yoga.

Several time alignment, balancing, and breathing awareness are being use as a tool to help the yogis slow their pace dow and stay in the place and environment of the Asana. It may be not at your 100% given but it is the right place for the moment, and for after that moment gone then you earn its progress.

The Indian sage said, Applying too much tension tightly to the Sitra strings can raise it to the pitch of the next note or lead to broken strings, while loosening it can easily lower it the same amount or off tune. The length and tension of a string are very important.

Health Skilled Yoga in Farnborough, Ace will prepare you the environment and guide you to drift in the safest yoga practicing.

Update Yoga Classes

Wednesday Classes schedule changed.

We had added new class into our Wednesday classes. Ace’s Yin Flow & Sam’s Singing Bowls Sound Therapy. The 75 minutes class will be a regular class every 4th Thursday. The first session is Wednesday 7th June 2023, 6.30-7.45pm.

There’s no denying that we felt it, whether it is the 80 instruments in a large scale orchestra symphony, or when our body moves to the music on the dance floor with Ed Sheeran’s guitar.

Vipasana Meditation in Buddhist practice uses sensory observing techniques to be present in the moment and connect to the serenity of the inner mind. Either by sitting crossed legged observing the flickering of a candle, or the sound of the breath, or the truth of life and death in the higher level or meditation. Vipasana also uses the sensation of the skin in the movement of the Walking Mediation.

Yin Yoga and Sound Therapy uses the same techniques.

Ace’s Yin Yoga flows like fluid from one asana to another with a Rest and Restore idea. Each movement allows enough time to connect the sensory aspect of the movement. Sam’s Singing Bowls are not just a melody, but work with the breath and heart beat. The whole concept works together in harmony, like trees in the forest, fish in the river. At the end, when the final vibration of singing bowls and the last yoga pose has ended, then you, like a child letting go of the ball in their hand as they relax, are reunited in body and mind.

Upon requisition;

New Chair Yoga classes on every Thursday 5-6pm at the John West Hall - Mytchett Community Centre schedule will be changed to every other Thursday, and every other Thursday will be Yin Yang Yoga.

Walking Yoga

1st session, Friday 16th June 2023

The first Walking Yoga route is Aldershot Camp

Booking / Yoga

Walking is one of the best exercises. It is whole body movement, self-paced control, and enhances cardiovascular function. Walking in nature also uplifts the emotions and supports mental well-being.

Yoga helps to improve body posture, and leads to better focusing and higher spiritual wellbeing.

Walking Yoga is another form of yoga that takes us outside of the mat.

We will use the simplicity of walking as our yoga practice in contrast to the more complicated yoga asanas we do on the mat. However, the group leader will, from time to time, lead a different kind of meditation during the breaks in the walk. The group leader will also guide you through some exercises which prepare your muscles and cardiovascular system before and after walking. They will also guide you through some pranayama (breathing exercise) before the walk. Unlike yoga on the mat, the walking yoga will be lead through a variety of routes in our beautiful local countryside. So, you can prepare yourself for the fluctuations between the serenity of the mind while meditating during the break and a feeling of awe in beautiful nature.

What can you expect during the Walking Yoga?

    ⁃    Meditation for spiritual wellness.

⁃    Simple breathing or higher level of respiratory system exercise.
