Prior to COVID-19 the co-founders & Board had grand plans for in person networking and educational events. In the interest of public safety, we postponed and regrouped. We are excited to share the Collective 365 "Learn & Learn" and "After 5" Speaker Series. These events will generally be 30 - 90 minutes in length and virtual. We invite you to attend one, some, or all. Our events will be open to members and non-members. |

Lunch-n- Learn: Trust-based Philanthropy
Tuesday, March 2, 2021 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM EST The global pandemic has reinforced the importance of cultivating trust between donors and nonprofits. If donors can approach giving from a place of trust, with a commitment to alleviating power imbalances, nonprofits will be much more effective at meeting their communities' most urgent needs. In this session, Shaady Salehi, of the Trust-Based Philanthropy Project, will share the rationale behind why a trust-based approach is so important, how it connects to unbiased consciousness, and what the urgency of this moment can teach us about how we should consider donor-grantee relationships for the long haul. This is a virtual event via Zoom hosted by DMV Collective Giving Network: Meeting ID: 845 8133 9062 Passcode: 056453 | | |
