August 2020 Newsletter

New Student

Welcome to Piano Players,
Kaleb A.! We wish you all the success in your piano journey!

Piano Players in the Park: Success!

Thank you to all of our students and families who made our summer recital a huge "social distancing" success yesterday!

Thank you to our students for sharing what you've so diligently been working on, we loved hearing each and every one of your performances!

Parents and family members: thank you again for your support. We hope everyone enjoyed the gorgeous weather and beautiful backdrop provided by nature.

We are working on putting all of the video footage together for the online version of the recital. We hope to have it ready by next week. We saw that many of you took photos and videos of your student(s). If you have some that you don't mind sharing with us, we would love to see them and perhaps use them in our video. Thank you again!

Important August Reminders

  • Please remember our Lab Closure from Wednesday, August 5 through Monday, August 10. There will be no classes on these dates. Our pianos will be receiving some routine maintenance to keep them in their best condition.
  • You are now able to access the online learning projects from the practice section of the website, in lieu of our physical classes this week and the next. There are currently three to choose from: Indian Classical Music and Raga Improvisation, Traditional Chinese Music and Folk Songs, and North American Jazz and the Piano. You can choose to complete just one, two, or all three!
  • The change in the class schedule for online students will take effect beginning on August 11. As a reminder, after this date, all online students will be attending at 7:30 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This will ensure that every student continues to receive the best instruction.

Piano Maestro Hall of Fame

Congratulations to Diya, Shradha, Anish, and Cecilia for being our top Piano Maestro players this month!

Give the Gift of Music!

The current pandemic is a great reminder of how much we need music! According to the NAMM (National Association of Music Manufacturers), the world is listening to and performing music in levels not seen since the 1980s!

If you know someone who is interested in starting or continuing their piano studies, please share this newsletter with them!
