Cooking | Hawaiian Style with Chef Ola of Aloha Cr3w

On Saturday, March 23, 2019, we celebrated the beginning of our Hawaiian Style Series with Chef Ola, from Aloha Cr3w. Members and guests enjoyed learning the art of preparing their own onolicious steamed laulau and then stayed for Kanikapila and kaukau with friends. A huge mahalo to Chef Ola, Aloha Cr3w, our EHCC team, and especially to all of our members and friends for making this such a memorable event! We look forward to seeing all of you at our next event!

Dinner, Panel Discussion, Pacific Island Vendors, Silent Auction, Cultural Performances and Fashion Walk (Hawaiian, Maori, and Native American), and Trunk Show featuring Kanoelani Davis, creator and owner of PoMahina Designs from Molokai, Hawai`i.

DATE: Sat., July 13, 2019

TIME: 5:30PM – 9:30PM

LOCATION: New Zealand Embassy, 37 Observatory Circle, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20008 (Parking is very limited, so please consider UBER or LYFT for transportation to/from the Embassy)

DRESS: Aloha Attire

The evening will include:

5:30PM: Cocktails (Cash Bar), Silent Auction and Pacific Island Vendors

6:15PM: Dinner service

6:30PM – 7:15PM: Panel discussion consisting of Hawaiian, Maori, and Native American representatives on how our cultural traditions have influenced our modern-day `a`ahu (clothing)/designs

7:15PM – 7:30PM: Intermission

7:30P – 8:00PM: Cultural performances

8:00PM – 8:30PM: Fashion walk of the three cultures

8:30PM – 9:30PM: PoMahina Designs Trunk Show and Pacific Island Vendors
