Hello Everyone!!
And a warm welcome to 2024.
This may sound very cliche, but I always find it useful at this time of the year to reflect on the year just passed — the successes, the joys, the interactions, the new connections I have made and all the new experiences that I have had — as well as the challenges and some of the harder lessons that I have encountered along the way. Whether we categorise a particular experience good or bad, they can each become valuable in the way we nurture ourselves and grow as humans.
On reflection, I may ask myself, from all of those experiences that I have encountered this past year, how can I use them as inspiration to better my life this coming year? What are the kinds of experiences I would like more of — and conversely, what would I prefer less of? Did I challenge myself enough? — Or maybe too much in certain aspects of my life?
These are valid questions you can ask yourself, maybe when you have a quiet moment with a journal open and a pen to hand.
I also use this time to look introspectively and meditatively, to seek what changes I may want to make in the coming weeks, months and year ahead. Assessing what old patterns have served their purpose and are ready to be let go of, that will allow space for something new to grow. What aspects of my life have I maybe neglected that I could focus more attention and energy towards this year? Could I create space for new types of experiences, or frequencies I want to tune into — or perhaps a new idea to evolve and develop?
The start of a New Year for me is a great time to sow some of these new seeds, and to see what nurturing they will require in order for them to grow and evolve.
Hopefully you will spot one or two of these new developments in this newsletter!
What about your plans for 2024? Are you feeling the need for change or are you quite content with where your life is at just now? There is no right or wrong answer, just what feels or sits right with you.
