Meet Anne, our new Assistant Store Manager |

Anne Freeze has been a volunteer at the shop but has now taken on a new role as our Assistant Store Manager. She brings an expertise in crochet and a passion for meeting new people and helping with everything 'Sew Green". Stop in and say hello! Joanna, our previous assistant store manager, will be spending more time with her other two passions, "Dancing" and "Machine Knitting". We wish Joanna well. Our new "Family Sewing Club" on Saturdays has been very successful. |

Kids and adults alike enjoy working together on Saturdays from 11-1 to create and learn. |

A new attendance Record for the Shop |

A Saturday for the Record books. The attendance of learners in our "Learning to Crochet", "Sewing 101", and "Family Sewing Club" broke a record on Saturday! So many people learning and sharing their talents and having fun. Look, no one is holding a cell phone. |

And for our final "NEW" announcement... there are new chairs at the sewing station. You will find these chairs more supportive and a better height. They are beautiful, don't you think? Stop in and give them a try. |

Hand Spinning on a Wheel with Marcia! January 26th from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Learn to make your own, unique hand-spun yarn on a spinning wheel! We’ll play with several types of prepared wool and discuss wheel maintenance, drafting, treadling, plying, and finishing techniques to make a balanced yarn. No previous experience needed. If you have a wheel to bring to class, that's great, if not, you can borrow one of ours! |

Working with Commercial Patterns with Georgia January 29th 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. January 29th 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. You've bought a sewing pattern, and opened the package. What's with all the tissue paper inside? We can teach you what to do with your pattern materials, and how to adjust it to fit you just right. |

Make a Bag with Josefina Offered Thursdays in January -17th, 24th & 31st from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Want a simple way of building up your machine-sewing skills? Join us for this class! We will provide the materials, and you will leave with a brand new tote bag! And don't forget to bring your new tote bag in on a Scrappy Saturday! You can fill it with scraps and yarn ends for just $5, and who knows? You might make another bag from the scraps! |

Quilting Block of the Month Class with Deb and Linda February 2nd 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Learn to use the tools to cut, measure and sew traditional quilt blocks in the modern way! The first class will cover straight seams. You will go home with one complete block and lots of ideas to make many more into your own interesting quilt. |

Sew Green is trying something new for all those who can’t escape to someplace sunny -- February Break Retreat -- 5 days of afternoon retreat designed for teachers but open to all adults You may bring a project in sewing, knitting or crochet or try something new! This is limited to ages 22 & up. Come for as many days as work for your schedule. Open to all adults $10 a day. Free for teachers. Stay tuned for more details. |

Remember... Every Saturday is Scrappy Saturday! Our small scrappy bags stuffed with scraps and rolls of fabric and/or unmarked balls of yarn are only $1 all day (regularly $3 on weekdays). Bring your own grocery-sized tote and stuff it full for only $5 (regularly $10). Stop by and fill a bag with scrappy treasures this Saturday, and every Saturday! |
