"May the stories your children tell their children be filled with the wild they wandered." -Nicolette Sowder The holiday season is here, and I am absolutely in for it: the twinkle lights, the festivities, the sweet aroma of delicious eats, and the music. Oh, how I love that this season is celebrated with music; it fills my soul with joy. But, my favorite part of the holidays? The traditions. Traditions were a big part of my family growing up, and I love creating new ones and celebrating old ones each year as a little family. I adore driving around town to look at Christmas lights, deliver bread, and sing carols to close friends. Then, there is the tradition of opening our first gift on Christmas Eve, which is always matching pajamas. This past week, my son was asked to present his favorite tradition to his class. On his own, he wrote his presentation of watching the boat parade in Dana Point. He said, “We go as a family each year, and I love that we do this to celebrate the season together.” Heart. Melted. I hope this season finds you all well, that you create cherished moments, hold long-lasting memories, and enjoy beautiful traditions that brighten your spirits and feed your souls. Happy holidays! In the month of December, HashtagLunchBagOC is hosting their annual sock drive. Socks are one of the most needed articles of clothing but also one of the least items donated. With your help, our family would love to support this sock drive. I've created an Amazon Wish List and will be collecting new pairs of socks now through December 9th. On December 10th, my kids and I will bring the socks donated to the next lunch bag event. If you want to donate socks, please click the link below or drop them off at our home. You can also Venmo @Bekah_Kamauu, and 100% of your donations will go toward purchasing socks. I genuinely appreciate your support and compassion as we find ways to share and spread light and love to our communities this holiday season. | | |
