This project entailed creating a pool house that could be used year-round through the cold winters of Cleveland as well as offer an outdoor pool experience throughout the summer. The pool has a huge retractable roof that folds into the pool house, allowing it to disappear during the hot summer months while supplying a warm environment during our brutal winters. We designed the front to have all the elements of a home while maintaining the simplicity our clients desired for the interior of the pool house. The end result turned into a one-of-a-kind pool house that blends in with the neighborhood but has just enough personality to stand on its own - all year round.
With a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, Jonathan spent 15 years in the chemical industry working in a research and commercialization capacity at various start-up companies. Throughout this time Jonathan was able to bring his analytical approach to these companies allowing him to impact both the science and financials of each start-up. He brings his unique understanding of process and analysis to Compass Studio, working to facilitate transparency and excellence in the home construction industry.
We love applied molding especially when used to bring detail to cabinetry. This small but powerful detail elevates both the cabinetry and the space, promotes a custom aesthetic, and adds depth and layering to the cabinetry.
