Happy Women's History Month From ASA BOOKS For the month of March, ASA Books has been sharing fun facts about incredible women who have changed the game throughout the course of history, proving that women are history makers, movers and shakers. From Marie Van Brittan Brown, a nurse and innovator, who, in 1966, invented a video home security system. To Mary Robinson, who goes down in history as the seventh President of Ireland and the first woman ever to hold the office in the history of the country. To Patricia Era Bath, an American ophthalmologist, inventor, humanitarian, and academic who invented an improved a device for laser cataract surgery. Her invention was called Laserphaco Probe, which she patented in 1986.
