Youth Philanthropy Council Grant Winners |
Youth Philanthropy Council of Southern Indiana awarded $11,000 in funding to 11 local organizations focused on youth programming. These young council members reviewed submitted applications, evaluated proposed projects, and awarded grants up to $1,000 to deserving nonprofits serving Clark and Floyd counties. We are excited to announce that our New Directions program was one of those recipients. The funding will go to our Summer Adventurer program where participants get to learn more about the city they live in by participating in park cleanups and trips to the zoo! |

We want to give a huge thanks to Joy Ride Nonprofit and our amazing community for raising $2,500 for our bicycle fundraiser! We're thrilled to have 5 new Rockhopper bikes for our kids to enjoy this summer. It's all about fun, physical activity, and quality time with our kiddos! Our kids had a blast learning about bike safety and how to ride them! We want to give a special shoutout to Shimano for donating 10 helmets and Silca for donating water bottles and bike pumps! |

Living independently is a huge step for any young adult who is moving out on their own, especially the young adults who grow out of the Department of Child Services. For young adults with autism or other learning differences, independent living is possible, but it’s important to make sure they are well-prepared for the challenges of living on their own. At Open Door, we teach them the skills they need to take on the world like basic hygiene, laundry, and managing a budget. |
