See What's Going On ...

Welcome to 2022! As we recover from the holiday season and (hopefully) from the latest COVID spike, I pray you are excited for what is forthcoming this upcoming year.  We know there will be challenges, but our attitude and energy will dictate how we deal with those challenges and generate the success we aspire for ourselves and our family in this new year.

Upcoming Events

Join other fathers who are navigating this space and striving to raise empowered young women. No cost and welcome to attend even if not pre-registered.

On February 5th from 10:00-11:00 AM ET I will be a guest on WPCE - Peace Radio 1400 AM hosted by the Christian Broadcasting Company here in the local Hampton Roads area. We will be talking fatherhood, raising empowered daughters, and leading families.

Exciting start to 2022, beginning with a couple podcasts interviews that were released earlier this month. First it was a BlackFathersNow podcast hosted by Mike Dorsey where we talked families, fatherhood, setting expectations, life-balance and of course, raising confident daughters. If you have not already, listen now and share what you think. Also Dr. Keith McNally who I am partnering with to improve STEM in the under-served and under-represented, posted our interview on YouTube as well, here is a clip on leadership that you may enjoy.

I also want to give an official congratulations to the newest Raising Confident Daughters Alumni – Class 10-21. So proud of the investment each father made to be better dads and enable their daughters to reach their full potential.  And last, but not least, my alma mater, the University of Georgia won the college football national championship on January 11th – the first since 1980. GO DAWGS!!

500 in 5 Years

Calendar Year 2021 was the first year of my company’s goal of educating 500 fathers in 5 years.  As with any start, it begins with "one" … but in this instance, we start with five, which is the number of dads who are now alumni of the Raising Confident Daughters Educational Program. We hosted three classes last year and based on feedback and recommendations, have made improvements to ensure every dad can have a transformative educational experience.

I am looking forward to having at least a five-fold increase as we strive to positively impact families and fathers in our community.
