ARMA INTERNATIONAL

   Michael Haley,

President - ARMA Board of Directors

First off, I would like to thank the nearly one thousand registered attendees and presenters for InfoCon 2021, along with over two hundred members and non-members that were able to take advantage of our FREE Keynote & Explore pass for the first time ever to take part in our keynote and sponsored sessions.

It is the support of the ARMA community that continues to make this event a success year after year! The Board of Directors, along with featured keynote speakers and HQ Staff, had the opportunity to meet in Kansas City to conduct Board meetings in-person and participate in conference activities, including the filming at the historic Union Station.

During that time, it was my pleasure to share the stage with Tyler Selle, current Chairman of the ARMA International Educational Foundation (AIEF). Together we announced our renewed and re-invigorated partnership to provide even more opportunities for our members and information management professionals from around the world. We look forward to the upcoming year, working together to better serve the ARMA community.

In that same vein, there are a couple of ways that you can help us serve the ARMA community. Please take a few minutes out of your busy schedule to lend your unique perspectives through our 3rd annual IG Maturity Index Survey and our upcoming Membership Engagement Survey.

It was a pleasure to see so many of you at InfoCon last month, and I hope to see you all in person in Nashville at InfoCon 2022.

Michael Haley

ACEDS eDiscovery Executive Certificate Program (eDEx)

ARMA members receive a 15% discount*

ARMA Members can broaden their knowledge of the entire e-discovery process, plus gain access to educational lectures that mirror real-world experiences. With the eDiscovery Executive Certificate (eDEx) Program, legal professionals — from law students and paralegals to attorneys and IT professionals — have access to ACEDS self-paced introductory e-discovery course and more.

The volume and variety of electronically stored information (ESI) is increasing at the same time as regulation, rules, and court mandates. Internationally, eDisclosure is on the rise, while in the U.S., well over half of the states include an ethical mandate or suggestion of technical competence. Many legal and technical professionals understand part, but not all, of the electronic discovery process. Other new entrants need a complete foundation to support on-boarding.

To avoid ethical lapses and keep with the standard of practice, legal professionals at all levels need eDiscovery Executive Certificate (eDEx) training.
