RSVP for mindfulness-based 3-session seriesInviting Real Farmer Care recipients to be in community experiencing mindfulness-based practices that can support care and well-being.
Introduction to mindfulness-based practices3 session series: 7-8:45 pm ET, Wednesdays, February 21 and 28, and March 6, online (Zoom link to follow)
Please join for the full series if you are able; continuity of practice in weekly sessions in community often holds value and serves well. Drop-ins for single sessions are also welcome.
All are welcome. No formal mindfulness practice experience needed. No cost to participate.
What to prepare for: Please wear loose-fitting clothes that allow a range of motion. Be prepared to be on video on the Zoom call if at all possible. Joining Zoom on a device with a screen larger than a phone is usually the better user experience. Ideally get setup to have an arm's length open space around you in all directions for movement practices.
Practice will be guided by Morgan Thompson (she/they). Morgan has been formally training and practicing mindfulness and related practices since 2015 and is a qualified
Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) instructor trained in trauma-informed practice with the centers for mindfulness at University of Massachusetts Medical School and Brown University. Influential teachers to Morgan’s practice include: Lynn Koerbel, Rhonda V. Magee, Florence Meleo-Meyer, Kate Mitcheom, Bob Stahl, Zayda Vallejo, and the Plum Village community. Morgan is an educator and facilitator, who is trained as a scientist and has specialized in adult education and professional development for more than a decade. Morgan actively practices allyship with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. Growing personally, growing in community, and growing a garden bring Morgan great joy.
