SESSION NEWS

 NCPC's Session has voted to pause Coffee Hour through Sunday, February 6. Indoor masked gatherings after worship and during the week are still permitted! Many prayers for everyone's well-being during this surge.

MISSION AND OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES

DROP (off) YOUR DRAWERS AND PICK UP A KISS!

Our popular Undie Sunday is returning on February 13th. Between now and then, we're collecting new underwear for Friendship House. All shapes, sizes and colors are needed for men, women and children (even beyond extra large, like 2X, 3X and 4X), including socks! Donations can be dropped off in the CE building baskets in the entryway and you can pick up your Hershey's® kiss at the same time!

We've got a unique way to celebrate and share all the latest news about our Guatemalan Partnership!

Grab a loved one, friend, or your whole family and travel to Guatemala with us - all while eating chocolate! Register now for Taste and Travel: A Guatemalan Experience on Thursday, February 10 from 7:00-8:15 pm (ET).

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES

COFFEE HOUR VOLUNTEERING - FEB. 13

It's our annual Sunday School Coffee Hour!

Kim Beebe, Chris Fagles, and Sunday School kids will head over to the CE Building after the Scripture Conversation. We'll both prepare and clean-up coffee hour that day. Participating families are encouraged to bring food for coffee hour. Please contact Kim Beebe via text (302-379-3246) if your family would like to participate. It’s also Undies Sunday, so bring some undies for Gifts of Love!

Sunday, March 27 from 3-5: Paint Night (Rescheduled)

Families are invited to join Ms. Diana and the CE Committee on Sunday, March 27, from 3-5pm in the Fellowship Hall. Children of all ages are welcome! Art supplies will be provided, but please consider bringing donations of socks and soup for our Gifts of Love program. Please RSVP to office@newcastlepreschurch.org by Monday, March 21. (Masks required for everyone above the age of 2.)

VALENTINE'S DAY CARD MAKING

FEBRUARY 6

Attention: Bob Ross fans needed! On Sunday February, 6, Congregational Life invites everyone to gather in the Fellowship Hall after worship to create Valentine's Day cards for our homebound members, as well as for you to mail to loved ones in need of extra love this season. Supplies will be provided.

A WALK IN THE PARK!

Join members of the Congregational Life committee for a Battery Park walk on Saturday, February 19. We'll gather at the Delaware Street entrance (by the Frenchtown Railroad Ticket Booth) at 9am. EMMANUEL DINING ROOM - BROWNIES!

Make a resolution in this new year to take up baking for others! Each month, NCPC offers freshly made brownies for our EDR neighbors. Contact Liz Parziale to receive the reminder at the end of each month - brownies are due to the church kitchen by the 6th!

Our Gifts of Love financial gifts provide Delmarva utility assistance to our neighbors in need. So, please plan to make a contribution through the Gifts of Love envelopes as we renew our efforts to love our neighbors and make sure they are warm this winter!

TRUSTEES NEWS

Basement Check-Up on Sunday, Feb. 27 at Noon

Our Christian Education basement stores lots of treasures, and we want to make sure everything stays organized and tidy. If you are part of coordinating flowers or other basement-stored items, we will meet in the basement on Sunday, February 27 at Noon to plan our spring cleaning with the Trustees.

 

 

WELCOME HENRY, BELOVED CHILD OF GOD!

William Henry Walters was born to Brendan (son of Brenda) and Asya Walters on Sunday, January 30! Baby Henry measured in at 11 lbs 5 oz and 22.5 inches. We give thanks to God that all are doing well! 

SYMPATHY OF THE CONGREGATION

The sympathy of the congregation surrounds the loved ones of Bob McCullough, who died to this life on Friday, January 21, at the age of 91. 

 

Bob was a long-time member of NCPC and served as an elder. We give thanks that for Bob suffering has passed and that he now rests in the Lord.
