New Beginnings

News Update

January 1, 2022

Sister-to-Sister:  International Network of Professional African American Women, Inc. ("Sister-to-Sister, Inc.") wishes you and your families abundant blessings.  For some of us, 2021 was a year of loss.  Even in our sadness, most will recognize the blessings given.  For some of us, including members of Sister-to-Sister, Inc.'s executive team (i.e., Board and Advisory Council) 2021 was a year of loss.  Even in our sadness, most will recognize the blessings given.

Truly nothing in life is promised and tragedy is simply a part of our existence. While some of us celebrate this New Year and a time for what new beginnings offer, others are not in a celebratory mood.  Losses have been devastating.  This past year, Sisters in many parts of the nation and world have experienced the loss of family and friends.  Others' lives have been upturned by natural disasters causing loss of lives.

Our loved ones are irreplaceable whereas new jobs can be found and property, restored.  Nevertheless, we should never negate the impact of job and property losses. The heartache felt at losing those who have blessed our lives, employment income, or homes, can seem almost unbearable. It is at this time that Sisterly love is critical.  Sister-to-Sister, Inc.'s overarching purpose is to share this love and offer support.

Most recently, this past Thursday, two days before New Year's, a brush fire spread across Boulder County (Colorado), raging destruction along its path.  The pain caused by the fire is indescribable and immeasurable.  Our hearts go out to each of you.  Having reached out, we want to ensure that you remember that Sister-to-Sister, Inc. is here for you and ready to offer support.  Thank you for sharing that, at this moment, prayer is the most precious gift that we can offer.

Sisters, prayer, magnified through numbers, is potent.  We ask for yours for members of our Sister Circle in Colorado, Kentucky, Arkansas, Illinois, Missouri, Georgia, Texas, Nebraska, western Wisconsin, Mississippi, Florida, New York, and every part of the world who have suffered loss.  Sister-to-Sister, Inc. will notify you if further help is needed.  To those who've already contacted us to offer assistance, thank you!
