The beautiful and haunted Captain Grant's Inn in Preston, Connecticut is a "must visit" for anyone interested in staying in a haunted old New England inn. We visited to try out new paranormal equipment to be used during this year's public events. A recap of our visit and a link to our evidence is included in this issue.

We are celebrating our tenth year of hosting these events in which 100% of the ticket sales benefit historic locations. Since we switched from private investigations to group events, we have met thousands of amazing guests - and with their help - raised much-needed funding for historic locations. CAPTAIN GRANT'S INN - PRESTON, CT

INVESTIGATION RECAP

-  MARCH 9-10, 2024 -

We had the pleasure to investigate Captain Grant's Inn in Preston, Connecticut on March 9, 2024. This historic building was constructed for Captain William Grant in 1754. The inn was used as a home for several generations of the Grant family. It has also served as a shelter for soldiers of the Continental Army during the U.S. Civil War and served to shelter runaway slaves in the Civil War era. The inn has had national exposure and most recently aired on the Portals to Hell television program. (Don't let that name scare you as the spirits at the inn were very welcoming.

Is the inn haunted? Yes. We had a number of paranormal experiences as well as successful communication sessions with the spirits of the inn. We set up our equipment in the beautiful game room and investigated for four hours. We heard someone walking up the stairs to the game room - of course, it was not a living person. There were three different light anomalies seen inside of the game room during our time, and the spirits were very active touching us during the evening.

The most surprising was the spirits provided a name to a doll that was located in the room. We recently reviewed all of the data for this investigation, and you can review our video from that evening below.

WHAT'S NEW FOR 2024?

We continually look to test the latest equipment and experiments to include during our group paranormal events. This year, we are excited to try out the new PSB7-Pro Spirit Box. This enhanced spirit box contains many new features than the basic spirit box that we have been using for a number of years. The biggest upgrade is a more customizable experience with more sweep speeds and frequency steps and a function to mute the box until sensors are triggered and sweeping can be heard. We look forward to using this in conjunction to our portal to enhance spirit communication.
