"December, being the last month of the year, cannot help but make us think of what is to come." — Fennel Hudson

We made it to December y'all. I don't know about you but this is time of year I love to reflect on the everything we did and experienced in the current year. It helps me as we look forward to what the new year has for us, what adventures await us, what we could accomplish on the farm and in our business. I love to dream up our future and if this year taught me one thing... my dreams don't always come to reality. BUT that is not always a bad thing. I am really learning the meaning of contentment. Being content with the size of our farm, the amount of animals we have, the size of our business, and much more. My big dreamer self would have us quitting our 9-5's and enjoying life on the farm full-time... well you can probably guess that is not a reality for us... yet. 😉

I am not a big New Years resolution person but I do enjoy having a Word of the Year. As we get closer to the close of 2023 I start to pray and reflect on what God would have me to focus on in the upcoming year. He laid a word on my heart a few weeks ago but you will have to wait for an upcoming blog post to find out what word I chose for 2024. Do you have a word for the new year?

FAVORITE THINGS

  1. Y'all seriously... I know that I am biased... but our

luxurious Goat Milk Lotion is the best! There is at least one person on your Christmas list who would love to receive some of our amazing lotion! Don't forget to grab a jar for yourself too. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

  1. Ok.. I know this is redundant but my favorite thing is seeing how our lotion business supports our farm.

Y'all are a blessing! Truly. Thank you!

  1. Luna! Y'all know she had to make this list this month. She is the spunkiest and sweetest little heifer. We are seriously over the moon with how she looks and how amazing Trexy is.

  1. This may seems a bit out of place... but y'all know I love fun earrings and I struggled for a long time with how to best store them. Well I found the perfect hanging organizer! I can see all my earrings and they don't clutter up the counter.

  1. Feeding our family. One of the main goals of starting our farm was to grow our own food and this week we sent our first steer to processing. What an emotional and amazing experience. Be sure to check out the blog post this week for more details on how we process the processing.

Verse for the Month

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change."

- James 1:17

Favorite Recipe

I decided to add a little section for some of our favorite recipes. This month I had to share one the yummiest and easiest dinner meals we found while reading the Meals She Eats cookbook. This Chicken Piccata meal is delish y'all! Let me know if you try this recipe out for you & your family!
