I heard this phrase the other day and it inspired me to write a message.
Did you have a hard day or did you have a hard 5 minutes that you milked all day?
This is going back to the basics around managing your thoughts. How your thoughts create everything around you. Your thoughts create your day…. Create your life.
Your mind is always on, you are constantly thinking thoughts. The brain processes about 70,000 thoughts a day. Have you ever reflected back on your day and said… “Wow, I had a really hard day.” When you go to pinpoint why you had a hard day… it’s only because you had one thing happen that created one negative thought. That one negative thought put on repeat in your mind that turned the hard 5 minutes into an entire day.
When you start to really think about this… how you can turn 5 minutes into a bad day. Think about how that can translate over your lifetime. And I am not saying that we shouldn’t feel negative emotions or have difficult days, what I’m saying is to think about the perspective that your life could turn into more bad days than good days based on your thoughts.
So, the next time you experience a part of your day that is upsetting, frustrating, annoying, etc., allow your mind to think the initial thought, and process through that emotion, but don’t let the one negative thought linger to create an entire day of negativity. You and you alone have the power to make every day a great day!
