Sitting here typing this, I just checked the 10 day forecast and it looks promising. It looks like we have mid-30s to mid-40s and low 50s. Also, to think that the forecast ended just 5 days before Christmas... I just can't believe it. My Christmas shopping is all done, my decorations are up and we are ready to celebrate the reason for the season. Our family has always focused Christmas around the birth of Jesus. Santa was always in the picture...but this year we finally told Jackson. Being in 3rd grade, we felt it was time...but let me tell you it is hard for him & Sydney both. Why you might ask? All of the kids, both in 3rd grade and in Sydney's 6th grade class all believe. To lighten the devastation of no Santa, Wade & I decided to do something different with gifts. We got the kids three small things & we are giving them experiences this year. If you follow us on our social media, I will post the concerts I go to with Sydney. Well, she is a huge 90's country fan, Thanks to her first Terri Clark concert, LOL. Sydney found out that Shania Twain was going on tour & has said so many times she wants to go...guess what? The date worked out next summer that she wouldn't miss any school, or county fair, or even a pig show. I typed up a few pages about heading to STL and seeing Shania in concert, along with going up in the Arch. I can't wait for her to open that gift. She will be pumped! Jackson's gift is gonna be awesome for him too! Did you know that a lot of zoos have behind the scenes tours for an extra cost? Well, Jackson is going to have two behind the scenes tour at the STL Zoo. He is going to be so excited! We will be able to see reptiles & giraffes up close. Also, I got tickets for the Zoo Lights Tour at night. Plus, we will be going up in the Arch as well. I am looking forward to these trips with each of them and giving them an experience that they will not only love but remember. We hope that you have a healthy & happy holiday season! |

Rawhides are meant to be long-lasting chews that break down into tiny, soft pieces over time. However, strong chewers are typically able to break off large chunks that can pose a major choking hazard or cause an intestinal blockage, and both are life-threatening events. It’s best to avoid them if your dog is a very heavy chewer. For dogs that are soft chewers, rawhides are generally considered to be safe treats because these dogs don’t break them down into chunks. We personally do not give our dogs rawhides. Typically, they will get beef bones or deer antlers to chew on. Here is an article from AKC to read to find out more. | | |

What I am Reading & Watching |
|
|
| | Well, I am all caught up with Jack Reacher....and I stumbled upon David Baldacci. I typed into Google, similar authors to Lee Child. This guy popped up, and it is the second book I have read. If you are looking for a murder-mystery with low-key violence...this is a winner! If you read it, or listen to it in my case, let me know what you think! | | |

| | Jack Ryan is an awesome series on Amazon Prime. I have not read the books, but after listening to David Baldacci's I plan on adding it to my must read. Jack Ryan is former military who ends up following trails of money that lead to a variety of pursuits around the world. Currently, you can wait Seasons 1 & 2 on Amazon Prime Video. Season 3 is set to premiere on December 21st | | |

Separation Anxiety in Puppies and Dogs? It’s unclear why some puppies are more prone to separation anxiety than others. There may be several reasons, including never previously being left alone and traumatic separation. Even a single traumatic event in the owner’s absence, like the house being robbed, can lead to separation anxiety. Other triggers to watch for involve life changes like a sudden switch in schedule, a move to a new house, or the sudden absence of a family member, whether it’s a divorce, a death in the family, or a child leaving for college. Recent research has even pointed to a lack of daily exercise as a possible cause. Because there are so many potential triggers for SA, it’s essential to work on prevention. With the holidays approaching quickly, schedule changes are bound to happen. Do your best to maintain your regular schedule as much as possible...such as kenneling & potty times. If your kids are home for 12 days at Christmas and you leave your dogs out the whole time, when they are back in school there might be some issues. Do your best to keep your current schedule. |
