I'm celebrating 30 Years
in this amazing career as a Hairstylist!
It's unbelievable that it has actually been 30 YEARS!!!
When I was young I always knew that's what I wanted to do when I grew up. I was doing hair with my friend in the bathroom of my childhood home when I was 12 and I remember one day cutting my brothers' friends hair...it was taking so long that he had to leave to go to wrestling practice with it only halfway done, and came back
for me to finish afterward!
I moved to Arizona from Nevada when I was in the middle of my Junior year of high school. That move turned out to be the best thing that had happened to me so far, and the catalyst for where I am today! Although at the time, I thought my life was over, lol!
Later that year I learned that my new high school offered a vo-tech program where I could go to Cosmetology school, while still in High School! Oh, it was ON!! That was all I could think about, all I wrote about in school projects, everything was about getting accepted into this program.
I quit the track team and got a job, then started saving for school and a car. I began school that summer and graduated cosmetology school two days before High School graduation at the end of May in 1992!
