Vicente Guerrero, Baja California, Mexico

We thought we would be back in "sunny Florida" by now; however, God had other plans. The possible opportunity we had in Florida fell through for unknown reasons, but through prayer God brought us to Mexico.

Many of you know that we have visited Vicente Guerrero before and felt it was time to return. We have been here for two months now and are excited about the many opportunities to be a whole, healthy family.

Although Vicente Guerrero is a major agricultural area and on the coast, there is a lot of dry land. Roughly 80% of the native Mexican tribes are represented in this area. As such, there is an extreme mixture of culture as well as many language barriers. We look forward to seeing how God chooses to use us in this season here in Mexico!

Abuelita Zoila

During our transition from Chico California, Lizeth received news that her 92 year old maternal grandmother was terminally ill. After much prayer, we received an unexpected monetary gift sent by God which allowed Lizeth to travel to Colombia and be part of this difficult time with her family. She had the privilege of receiving her grandmother's blessing. While holding her hand and worshipping together, Abuelita went into the arms of Jesus! Lizeth was able to be a blessing to her family while sharing in the grieving process. Abuelita Zoila leaves a legacy of Faith, Love, and Family.

Jocelynn turned 14 in Mexico! She is doing well in her studies, and loves serving at the coffee shop!!

Marcos has plenty of projects using his many talents! Right away he started working on living quarters for missionary families at the YWAM base.

Lizeth is enjoying spending time with Carolynn learning how to sew together. They have enrolled in a local, 3-month sewing class! This is a great opportunity to get to know other women in the community.

Jocelynn and Carolynn joined a local youth discipleship/worship team where they get to sing and play in multiple local languages! Jocelynn is learning ukulele and Carolynn is singing and learning violin.

YWAM Rancho Abierto

We had the amazing privilege to join another YWAM base during their Family Discipleship Training School. We were given the opportunity to teach the youth on Identity in Christ and share about Colombia as part of their Global intercession. We had a blast reuniting with some missionary friends from Chico, camping, and meeting 20 precious families that are ALL IN for Jesus!!

Our goals in Vicente Guerrero are: 1) to grow in our calling both as a family and as individuals, 2) to help develop Vicente Guerrero YWAM base, and 3) to help strengthen the local community!

One particular project we're exited about is a local community center where low income children gather for reading and art classes with hopes to offer more. They currently gather under a tree because their center has been vandalized and is unsafe for entry. We hope to put our skills to use and invite you to partner with us both in prayer and in finances. All of the windows, doors and electrical were stolen and the roof has several large leaks. The total restoration cost is around $6000 USD. Together we can help them to create a safe, fun, learning environment.
