NEWS FROM MRS. TOBERGTE Dear St. Patrick Families, Terra Nova testing has concluded! Thank you all for your support over the last 2 weeks. Today we have an early dismissal beginning at 11:30AM and concluding by 12:00PM, and there is no After School Program. Students with last names A-L dismiss at 11:30 and M-Z at 11:45. Today 2nd and 4th grade will attend Mass in the Cathedral, and all other classes will participate virtually from their classrooms. Please join us virtually via this link. Next Sunday, October 24th, is our school's Fall Festival, a wonderful family and community event sponsored by our PTO. I encourage you to bring along any prospective families you know, too! It's a terrific opportunity for them to get to know others and have some fun at St. Patrick. Lastly, there is no school on Monday so that our teachers may engage in professional learning and Catholic fellowship. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Tuesday following the extra-long weekend. As October is a month dedicated to the Holy Rosary, a nice activity with your family this weekend would be to pray the rosary together. Here's a great resource to help you get started! God's Blessings, Amy Tobergte |

IMPORTANT!! CARPOOL CHANGES PLEASE TAKE NOTE! Buchanan Street is now closed from Kenilworth to Waverly Avenue. Buchanan Street is open from our parking lot to Dilworth Road East. We will have 2 new dismissal times for afternoon carpool: Last Names A-L dismiss from 2:30-2:45pm Last Names M-Z dismiss from 2:45-3:00pm Please comply with these times in order to lessen our impact on surrounding roads. Due to the closure of Buchanan Street from Kenilworth to Waverly, carpool will follow the map below until further notice. All cars must enter carpool from Kenilworth onto Pierce Street in both the morning and afternoon. All cars must go straight at the stop sign. Do not turn right onto Waverly to enter the parking lot. Cars will continue down Pierce Street and into the playground black top behind the school. In both the morning and afternoon, students will enter/exit cars as usual but cars will NOT loop around the parking lot. Cars will pull straight onto Buchanan St. Cars MUST turn right onto Buchanan St. Cars may turn right or left onto Dilworth Rd. East. In the afternoon, cars will loop around the blacktop and form 2 lines (this is the same as our current procedure). Cars will alternate entering the line near the dumpster, and will follow along towards the gym-side of the school. Please be patient and drive slowly and cautiously to keep our staff and students safe. Note: Parking for the school is available in the school parking lot only. Parking in the rectory parking lot is never permitted. |
WALKER DISMISSAL PROCEDURES Due to our revised carpool routes and times, we will be modifying walker dismissal as well. Walkers will still continue to enter the gym in the morning as in years past. In the afternoon, walkers will be dismissed at 2:30pm until further notice. Walkers will be released out the door nearest the first grade classrooms which exits near the Family Life Center. A staff member will walk students to the Family Life Center area at which point they will continue to walk home. If a parent will meet the child to walk with them, they should plan to meet their child on the sidewalk between the church rectory and the Family Life Center. Families will not be permitted to play on the playground after school due to carpool traffic. Parking is not permitted in the rectory parking lot under any circumstance. |
