The Mackellar Matters Report

is finally here ....

We hope you enjoyed our online event last week where we released the Mackellar Matters Report as much as we did! Thank you to all those who joined us - we were thrilled to have over 200 people tuning in.

Craig Reucassel not only added a touch of celebrity, he also shared his insights and a couple of clips from the forthcoming feature documentary 'Big Deal', where he makes his directorial debut and which is a wake-up call about the frightening extent that money has infiltrated politics in Australia.

The Mackellar Matters Report details our findings after having spoken with 380 local residents from all 15 postcodes in Mackellar during 68 kitchen table conversations plus the responses of 50 particpants in an online questionnaire.

If you weren't able to join us you can watch the video of the event or  download the full Report using the links below.

A video of our online event can be found here

A copy of the full Report can be downloaded here

The Northern Beaches Advocate article from 16 July can be found here

If you would like to buy a hard copy of the Mackellar Matters Report for $15 please send an email to info@voicesofmackellar.org.au with your order by Sunday 1 August. We will do another print run the following week.

What's Next .....

Over the coming months we will be running a series of forums - What Matters in Mackellar - based on our findings of the major issues and concerns in the Mackellar Matters Report.

The first in this series is on dealing with climate change which was the Number 1 issue of concern for the residents, young and old, who participated in our kitchen table conversations.

This is an extremely important issue affecting the younger generation and we are particularly interested to receive questions for the panel from the Young Voices (age 17-28) in our community.
