Greetings I AM STEM Family,
I pray that you, your families, and loved ones are well. I'd like to start by extending my gratitude to Vanessa Grady and Laura Peña who served as co-organizers for our inaugural virtual STEM Camp. It was a huge success and we are thankful to all parents, partners, and participants. We will reach out to families in the upcoming weeks to schedule focus groups. Your feedback will inform our planning for the 2021 summer camps.
While 2020 has had great challenges, this year has also afforded us with tremendous opportunities to think outside of the box and work collaboratively to implement innovative solutions. It is our pleasure to serve children, families, and communities. We realize the importance of belonging and connectedness (especially during these times), and have committed ourselves to offering special events and workshops throughout the year. Each month, you will receive a newsletter detailing upcoming events, opportunities, and resources. We are kick starting this effort with three fantastic events in December - a Virtual College Tour to Auburn University with admissions officers and student representatives, a Holiday Cheer STEM workshop, and a Kwanzaa Celebration event.
