This Winter/Early Spring Farm Box includes an abundant assortment of 10-12 seasonal, hearty LOCAL student-grown pesticide free and NON-GMO produce items and City Farm eggs.

 

Students are enrolled in Farm Class, a twice-weekly elective opportunity in which they learn practical skills, develop healthy habits, and connect with the land & nature's nutrition. Help support this program by ordering a box.

ROTARY DE TOLOSA COMMUNITY GRANT AWARD RENEWED FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS

 

City Farm SLO is most grateful to the Rotary De Tolosa Club for its continuing support of our "ON THE FARM" program now entering its second year. Designed and executed by Education Coordinator, Teresa Lees, by May 2020 , this program will have brought 40 classes of students from Kindergarten to Middle School to the Farm to take part in hands-on lessons about Ecology, Botany, Agriculture and Nutrition correlated with their classroom curricula.

BIG DAY FEBRUARY 27: FARM VISITS BY SHANDON ELEMENTARY  SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY ALLIANCE with FAMILY FARMERS

25 students, teachers and parents travelled by bus  from Shandon Elementary School to take part in a two hour "On the Farm" Field trip with our Education Coordinator and volunteer docents. More pictures here

At the same time, 20 delegates from the statewide small farmers' conference taking place in Paso Robles toured our educational facilities, met tenant farmers and shared ideas with farm manager, Jade Rosario, and site manager Shane Lovell. See pictures here and KSBY's TV segment here.
