Spectacular Auditoriums

Commercial Textiles, Proudly Australian Designed and Manufactured

There is something special about auditoriums, perhaps it’s the scale of the space, the repetition of the seats, the special lighting, or the promise a spectacular performance. We love it when designers want to create dynamic auditorium spaces as it adds to the delight of the experience.

In this newsletter we wanted to share with you some of our favourite drama filled auditorium projects featuring our Australian Made fabric.

Our entire range of fabrics are perfect for auditoriums as not only are they rated Heavy Duty Commercial, but are also GECA (Good Environmental Choice Australia) certified, have classic and contemporary options, are woven using Australian Wool and have the most amazing colour range.

If you’re working on a sustainable auditorium project, our fabrics are the ones you should be looking at.

All Saints’ College Performing Arts Theatre is a spectacular example of a drama filled auditorium. Designed by Parry & Rosenthal Architects in Perth, the team used our Sustainable Chelsea Foxglove because of its ‘quality and timelessness’.

Newman College’s Marist Auditorium is a very dramatic, masculine space. Designed by EIW Architects, the team have used an alternating pattern of Sustainable Renegade Informer and Deceiver on the auditorium chairs. Seating designs like these visually seem full and the repetition help to create a contemporary and dynamic space.

Dandenong High School’s Melaleuca Performing Arts Complex designed by Hayball is a fun and unique auditorium space. The team used a mixture of Sustainable Chelsea and Sustainable Chelsea Mix to match their school house colours. It was important to the school and the designers that all the fabrics were Australian Made, sustainable and heavy duty because of their commitment to the GBCA’s Green Star education pilot case study.
