From The District Director
I hope this newsletter finds you and yours well and your 2018 is starting out well. Mine is starting off very well and my prospects appear bright.
As the year starts a lot of athletic training service work really begins to ramp up. Soon the NATA will be hosting the annual joint committee meeting in Dallas. All committees meet face to face twice a year – the joint committee meeting is one.
Also a lot of work is being done in preparation for the RMATA Annual Clinical Symposium in April in Salt Lake. I hope to see many of you there.
Read through this newsletter and get a peak at some of the exciting things going on. I also have two openings for opportunity to serve – check them out.
As always if you have any questions, comments or concerns please let me know.
Sincerely,
Chris Mathewson, NATA District 7 Director

Dominic L. DiManna, MEd, MS, ATC, President, Colorado Athletic Trainers Association
The Board of Directors of the Colorado Athletic Trainers Association attended a landmark meeting with the Commissioner and Associate Commissioner in charge of Sports Medicine of the Colorado High School Activities Association. This meeting marked the first time that the entire CATA Board of Directors was able to meet with the leadership of CHSAA. During the meeting, both organizations entered into a new era and began fostering a relationship of cooperation and communication and collaboration.
All Athletic Trainers in Colorado are reminded to check their Registration/Licensure status with DORA and to renew with DORA if necessary.
