As I mentioned in my last newsletter, I was a contestant in the Russian talent competition style show, "Amazing People". The show aired October 29. See video below. Option to switch to closed caption and turn on English sub-titles. This was a really fun and challenging task. I had to hold 48 postions to memory and finish playing out 3 random games selected from the judges, while blindfolded. |

Here are some photos from some time I spent in California. First stop, I played in the Bay Area Chess G/30 National Championship. I got to spend a little time Skydiving and then came back to BAC after my trip to Russia a couple weeks later and had fun doing a GM training with the kids there. They have some real talented chess players in the Bay Area. I also stopped by and visited friends in Southern California. | | |

Had a quick stop in New York. I visited the Arts and Letters school and helped with some chess lessons and I visited James Jorasch, memory expert who participated in my World Record event. |
