Show the Collegians what it means to be an alumna and join us for our

 

Annual Founders Day Celebration on Sunday, November 6th

At the Chase Park Plaza’s Starlight Room

 

Check In begins at 11:45am in the Khorassan Ballroom

Lunch serve at 12:30pm in the Starlight Room

 

Sharing sisterhood with fellow alumnae from over 25 chapters nationwide

as well as collegians from our chapters at St. Louis University and Washington University!

 

$40 per person

Limited Edition Necklaces

Phi Chapter 100th Anniversary Scholarship Fundraiser Necklaces will be available for Silent Auction purchase at Founder's Day.  See Jill Wilkis at the Phi 100 Table.  Each necklace is composed of precious and semi-precious materials, such as, pearls, amethyst, jade, coral, and onyx. Each is unique and numbered. There will be approximately 12 necklaces to bid on. Minimum bid $75 each.  

 

Write your tax deductible check to Gamma Phi Beta Sorority Phi Chapter and put scholarship donation into the "for_____" notation at the bottom left of your check.  You can also charge your purchase with Debbie Gremmelsbacher after Founder's Day has concluded.  Minimum bid $75 each.

October 22, Founders Day Walk/Run

LOCATION CHANGE- SEE BELOW

* All fitness levels welcome! (run, walk, jog, etc)
* All ages and family and friends welcome! (even furry friends)

* No Registration fee - this is a free event! We will have be raffling off a Girls on the Run       5K race entry ($1.00 a piece or $5.00 for 6)
* A 4 mile course will be marked with Gamma Phi specific signs --BUT you don't have to     complete the 4 mile course to participate. You decide on your mileage whether it be half     a mile or 4 or more! You can also come and cheer on all the walkers and runners. We       hope to fill the park with Gamma Phi's!
* Please bring your own water.
* Walk shirts are available here:

* A rain plan will be communicated 3 days prior to the event, if needed

Schedule:

8:30 -9:15: Create your own race bib - we will have a race bib template for you to write your name on and wear as you walk/run. Optional

9:20: Group Photo and announcements. Optional

9:30: Walk/Run begins (at the Art Museum)

Note: there are no medals awarded at this walk, however, we will be raffling off two Girls on the Run 5K entries

 

October 26, Shopping Night

November 9th, McNair Elementary GOTR 

If you are interested in spending time with a local Girls on the Run team, Deanna's team at McNair Elementary is hosting a fun run to raise money for the school playground upgrade as their community service project. The run will take place on Wednesday, November 9 and costs $3.00.

Volunteers Needed for GOTR

Girls on the Run St. Louis has several volunteer opportunities available such as race T-shirt sorting, assisting with packet pickup, and much more. Please let Erin (stlgpbpres@gmail.com) know if you are interested and she will connect you with the appropriate GOTR contact. These are great ways to be involved with our philanthropic partner - no running involved and they only take an hour or two of your time!

Raffles

We are raffling a .50 carat diamond bracelet set in 18K rose gold over bronze. You can view the bracelet and purchase chances here (scroll to the bottom of the page). All proceeds of the raffle will stay with the St. Louis alumnae chapter to support its work with our philanthropic partners (Girls on the Run, Girls Inc.) and support of our Missouri Gamma Phi chapters.

 

LIMITED TIME ONLY: Girls on the Run has donated a free 5K race entry to the alumnae chapter. Tickets are only on sale through Sunday, Oct 23rd. Click here (scroll to the bottom of the page) to purchase tickets or join us on Oct 22nd at the Founder's Day walk. All proceeds from this raffle go to Girls on the Run St. Louis.

Intern Help

Deanna Heuring wants to help you complete your next Gamma Phi event, children's school party, work event, or other task with the help of the Special School District Vocational Skills Program Interns! According to Deanna, these interns are looking for projects to help them increase their skill sets- shuch as rolling and tagging fundraising shirts, and creating and printing bibs for the Founder's Day Run, and perforated raffle tickets for the race entries (three projects already completed by this group).  Depending on the size of the job, most can be completed in 2-3 business days!
